The Oklahoma City Modern Quilt Guild put out a call for completed quilts to help families who were affected by tornadoes that devastated communities in their area. Members of the SSMQG responded by making enough 12.5" blocks to send two lap sized quilts to the Moore Love Quilt Drive.
Here are the blocks that were turned in at the June 5th meeting.
Honnah pieced the first top and it was quilted by Melissa.
Tracie and Heidi pieced the second top and it was quilted by Bethany.
Besides making blocks, members also generously donated time, fabric and funds to finish the quilts and send them to Oklahoma. Thank you so much for making our first project together as a guild so successful!
